Content Description
This collection consists of various books, notebooks, and maps from the personal library of Jack Wesley Johnson (1921-2000). The material in the collection is dated 1876-1989. The books cover state and federal survey laws and practices, mining and mining claims, indexes of maps and mineralogy; Department of the Interior, War Department, and other federal government technical manuals; manuscripts from Platt & Kleff mining company based from Leadville, Colorado at the time; among other publications used during his collegial and professional career. Two hand-drawn maps are included and are available for viewing.
